I wanted to see what happened when you took one creative medium and forced it into another. The result: a LEGO shipping container with mini figures representing each Tyler the Creator album era. I designed it in Studio by the LEGO Group, then sourced most pieces locally from a store that collects secondhand bricks. What I couldn’t find, I ordered from LEGO. Some pieces didn’t exist, so I made them myself with UV resin, hand-painted details, and vinyl I cut by hand. The process mattered as much as the result. Figuring out how to translate album aesthetics into LEGO constraints. Problem-solving when the right piece doesn’t exist. Finding creative workarounds that made the vision work anyway.
